How to determine the date of egg retrieval. Part 1

On the 10th day of menstruation, I visited the clinic after receiving 5 consecutive injections and underwent blood tests and an ultrasound to check my condition.

After consulting with the doctor, we decided that I would continue self-injecting for another two days from that point and return to the clinic two days later.

Incidentally, I was given a pill to prevent ovulation at that time, and I took it immediately.

You might be wondering why I needed to take a pill to prevent ovulation when I was trying to induce it. This is apparently necessary for the best possible egg retrieval.

I suppose it also depends on the doctor in charge, but the doctor who treated me was easy to understand and explained everything in a positive and humorous way (is that rude?). Well, they communicated with a sense of humor, making it easier for me to understand and alleviating my anxiety.

This applies not only to egg freezing or reproductive medicine but is also crucial in establishing a good relationship with the hospital and the doctor.

I believe that the time spent during the initial counseling is essential in choosing the right doctor for me.
